About Allunga
Australia's premier
exposure testing facility
Allunga means 'Sun' — and our name perfectly suits our location and purpose. Operating from Townsville, tropical Queensland since 1969, Allunga Exposure Laboratory has become a global reference for natural and accelerated weathering and durability testing.
Our site at Brookhill offers ideal weathering conditions: clear sunny days, moist dewy nights, and more than 310 days of sunshine per year averaging over 8.7 hours of daily sun. With approximately 7,500 MJ/m² of annual solar radiation — including 400 MJ/m² of UV-R — our tropical location delivers exposure results that are both rapid and globally representative.
Exposure Testing Services
40+ years of expertise available to meet your testing requirements — from standard weathering programs to highly specialised custom projects.
How a testing program works
Step 01 of 04
Sample Submission
Send us your materials with any existing test specifications. We review requirements and confirm a suitable exposure program tailored to your material and timeline.
Exposure testing is not a commodity. Every material ages differently — and the conditions under which it ages matter enormously. Our job is to make those conditions precise, repeatable, and comparable.
